1973 VW Campmobile Type 2
I purchased this bus in 2003 in Neenah, WI for $4300 and had many great adventures with her (Lily) from weekend camping in northern Wisconsin to music festivals as far as Minnesota. Now with my wife and our 3 dogs it doesn't really work for us. We're sad to have to part with her but we're hoping someone will enjoy her as much as we did. Originally purchased new in Wabeno, WI and has stayed in the midwest with the exception of a trip out west with a previous owner.
I'm the 4th owner and have kept up on all maintenance and stored her in the winter months. The interior is mostly original and in good shape. The bench seat (storage below) pulls out into a bed. There is a single seat behind the drivers seat with a fold down table that sits between this seat and the bench. It has a cooler with a sink on top that drains outside. There is also a clean water storage tank that feeds the faucet. There is an outlet inside to power your radio, lights or whatever. Plenty of storage and a closet for all your gear.
1700cc, Dual carb., Air cooled. Engine was overhauled and rebuilt in 2001 around 90,000 miles. New tires and brakes in 2002 and New shocks in 2005. She runs great and starts everytime. About 137,000 miles (actual). Original paint job with a few dings and dents. There is some minor rust around the bottom of the doors and under the front steps but otherwise very solid. The windshield could be resealed but the silicone I used does the trick. The driver and passenger seat are just springs now so they could be replaced. We always sat on a blanket or pillow.

She's a great vehicle and needs a good home.
